Rho(D), a humanized immunoglobulin protein, is used to prevent the immune response to Rh positive serotypes in Rh negative blood type individuals that results in erythroblastosis fetalis (Type II hypersensitivity). Rho(D) can also be used to treat the immune system-induced thrombocytic purpura (ITP). However, RhoD should not be used for the treatment of immunological disorder associated with immune incompatibility.
