Reboxetine is used to treat depression. It is a type of antidepressant drug called a seective noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, sometimes known as an SNRI. It is used to treat mental problems. In general this drug is used to treat depression rather than any other mental conditions. Benefits of being on this drug can include relief from depression.


Side Effects

Common reboxetine side effects may include nausea (feeling sick), dryness of the mouth, insomnia (unable to sleep), headache, constipation, dizziness, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat (tachycardia), flushing, feeling faint on standing, chills, impaired sight (difficulty focusing), decreased appetite, difficulty urinating, or sense of incomplete emptying of the bladder or sexual problems (e.g. problems with erection or delayed ejaculation in men).


Drug Interactions

Reboxetine should not be used with monoamine oxidase inhibitors MAOIs, including the reversible MAOI, moclobemibe and the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor SSRI, fluvoxamine macrolides such as erythromycin, azithromycin and clarithromycin ketoconazole, fluconazole and itraconazole or lumefantrine.
