Daptomycin injection, a cyclic lipopeptide-class of antibiotic is prescribed for the management of skin and structure infections, infective endocarditis and Staphylococcus aureus-induced bacteremia. Daptomycin injection is either administered as a monotherapy or as a combined therapy to treat serious, drug-resistant bacterial skin infections.
