Copper, as cupric sulfate, is prescribed for the treatment of copper deficiency and related anemia, patients who underwent intestinal bypass surgery and who are parenteral treatment and malnourished infants. Copper is also prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis, wound healing and osteoarthritis.
