Details
Netilmicin is aminoglycoside antibiotic, prescribed for certain types of bacterial infections. It kills the bacteria that cause infection.
Side Effects
Common netilmicin side effects may include phlebitis, headache, nephrotoxicity, nausea, loss of hearing, chills, nystagmus, vomiting, ototoxicity, maculopapular rash, pain, blood in the urine, vision disturbances, increased heart rate, elevated hepatic transaminases, stomach ache, urticaria, low blood pressure.
Drug Interactions
- Netilmicin+adefovir- Talk to your doctor before using adefovir together with netilmicin. Adefovir may cause kidney problems, and combining it with other medications that can also affect the kidney such as netilmicin may increase that risk. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications.
- Netilmicin+deferasirox- Talk to your doctor before using deferasirox together with netilmicin. Deferasirox may cause kidney problems, and combining it with other medications that can also affect the kidney such as netilmicin may increase that risk. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications.
- Netilmicin+metocurine- Ask your doctor before using netilmicin together with metocurine. This combination can increase the blood levels or add to the adverse effects of metocurine.
