Meclizine is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Meclizine is used to treat or prevent nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also used to treat symptoms of vertigo (dizziness or spinning sensation) caused by disease that affects your inner ear. To make sure meclizine is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have liver disease kidney disease asthma glaucoma enlarged prostate or urination problems. This medicine should not be given to a child younger than 12 years old.

Drug Interactions
- Meclizine+propoxyphene- Using propoxyphene together with meclizine may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination. You should take propoxyphene exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take larger doses or use the drug more frequently than prescribed.
- Meclizine+topiramate- Topiramate can cause increased body temperature and decreased sweating, and these effects may be worsened when combined with medications like meclizine. Heat stroke and hospitalization may occur in some people, especially in warm weather and during vigorous exercise. Children are particularly susceptible.
