Amylase + Lipase + Protease are a combination of digestive enzymes. In normal individuals, such enzymes are synthesized by the pancreas and released into the small intestine (for digestion). Amylase + Lipase + Protease are prescribed for patients who cannot synthesize the enzymes due to chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic malignancies, post-gastrointestinal bypass surgery, cystic fibrosis and pancreatectomy.
